Share This vs Add This Button Review

Which button do you want on your page or blog? It’s the button widget challenge.

Who’s got the advantage?

So I wake up and need a few new widgets to get the word out. I love it when you find something on the web that you like and you can quickly pass it along to someone else you know, or quickly email it to yourself so you can check it out later. So far, the only downside I see on both is that it’s not using a feature like Plaxo to get your personal email addresses from your contact lists. It’s no fun to send something when you don’t remember your friends email address!

If you’re looking to make a decision, maybe you need to base the decision on a couple of things:

  1. Configuring the Button
  2. Adding the Button to your blog/website
  3. Admin Features

So, do you integrate Plaxo into everything, or do these guys figure some way to add email addresses?

Now here’s a few other features they should add:

  1. Incorporate a Print Friendly Button
  2. Incorporate a Comment Feature
  3. Incorporate a Rating Feature
  4. Incorporate a convert page to PDF button
  5. OK, even add a twitter button – uggg.

If you do this, then those who are not tech savy will be able to add functionality to their site or blog, and not have to be some web dev geek.

Oh, and make it simple to add the widget to the site (copy code into a text widget or create a plugin). Choose both.

I should know…I’m not one!

But I do like the button features.

Personally, I’m thinking of switching to Share This….

What about you?
